John Funnell
Strategy & Operations (CEO)
John brings a forward-looking passion for building the future of operations strategy, with deep experience in healthcare technology, business intelligence, website development, and AI integration. He founded Swell Consulting to help organizations design scalable systems and navigate the shifting demands of modern digital infrastructure.
Previously, he launched Unify Health and EDS Portal, two healthcare startups focused on Medicare Advantage risk adjustment and HIPAA-compliant data exchanges with CMS. His work bridged strategy, compliance, and digital transformation for providers and health plans.
A USC graduate and founder of the university’s surf team, John later studied at USC’s Keck School of Medicine. He now lives in the Eastern Sierra mountains, where he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and exploring with his three dogs.

Ryan Baesemann
Content & Marketing (CMO)
Ryan is a content strategist and brand storyteller with a strong foundation in journalism, editorial writing, and digital marketing. He blends creativity with cultural insight to craft messaging that’s engaging, authentic, and conversion-ready.
He was formerly Managing Editor at Soft Punk and a Staff Writer at Mixmag, where he developed a distinctive voice grounded in research and audience engagement. He also served as Media Director for the Do-It-Ourselves Festival, a grassroots arts and culture collective. His work helps brands connect across platforms with clarity and resonance.
Ryan holds degrees from UC Santa Cruz and NYU in history, politics, and cultural criticism. Based on California’s Central Coast, he enjoys writing, surfing, and farming with his wife and their dog, Willow.

Edwin Eversole
Brand & Design (CBO)
Edwin is a brand director and producer as a visual design specialist known for cinematic storytelling and high-impact creative direction. A graduate of USC’s Cinema program and co-founder of Hunt House Pictures, he has led branded content and campaigns for Disney, Uber, Marriott, and Adidas.
His work bridges film-quality aesthetics with modern branding, producing immersive narratives that engage audiences and elevate visual identity. With expertise in both creative and production, Edwin delivers campaigns that perform across digital, broadcast, and social platforms.
Now based in Charleston, Edwin draws inspiration from the rhythm of coastal life. He lives with his wife, three kids, and two dogs, and continues to explore the intersection of storytelling, tech, and design innovation.
